/Menelik the Diplomat/

The well mannered personality and friendly spirit of Emperor Menelik was the one that attracted a massive number of traders and investors from a distant lands to flood toward our offshore in that far way generation and even though he was a man of a few words, however Menelik was compassionate to the extreme and that is why the nation named him "Emeye Menelik".

Here in this image, Emperor Menelik is seen welcoming an Armenian guest named Krikorios Boghossian and even though the time is undated, but I am assumed that this historical visit must have taken place after the battle of Adwa, because that is when the historical announcement of Emperor Menelik, calling the westerners to come to our land to invest, to work to teach and to live peacefully was announced.

Emperor Menelik loved people, he was all about country and he was a leader who taught his people courage, bravery, confident and that is why soon after the battle of Adwa, a certain British News journal wrote and glorified him by saying “Menelik destroyed Italy”

Not only that, The graceful Menelik had also triggered a lasting fear and doubt in the mind of the whole Europeans and saved Ethiopia from the coming colonization.
